Original boards, neatly rebacked with matching paper, original printed paper label. Early signature on title of George Trusted, and his armorial bookplate on the front pastedown.

FIRST EDITION. G&M 3424.2: “Probably the greatest English classic of colon-rectal surgery. Pott recommended the practice of simple division rather than the newer, more complicated methods proposed by Cheselden and Le Dran, and audaciously pointed out that there were lessons which regular practitioners might learn from quacks apropos of this subject.” Norman Catalogue 1733.
