A provincially published manual of anatomy that ran to at least seventeen editions in fifty years. The first edition of 1623 was the first book printed in Dieppe. Gelée was born in Dieppe, studied medicine at Montpellier, and returned to his home town to practise. This edition is extremely rare: it is not in the Catalogue Collectif de France which has a Paris edition for 1639, and not in any other collection catalogues generally referred to. WorldCat finds 2 copies, both in Italy.
