FIRST EDITION. The first separate treatise on chorea, or St. Vitus’ Dance. Bouteille pointed to the frequency of joint pains in people suffering from chorea. He noticed that in four of his cases arthritic rheumatism preceded the chorea, whereas in another case it followed it. McHenry p. 406. Finger, Origins of neuroscience, p. 222.
