FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH, second issue. “Bergman here discusses the great utility of chemistry to mankind, covering medicine, economics, industry, metallurgy, manufactures, pyrotechny, dyeing, salts, earths, gases, and other subjects. Duveen describes the second issue (London: J. Murray, 1784), identical to the first except for the reset title-page, which he found after searching diligently for twenty-five years, just in time to include in the addenda of his catalogue.
